Adobe Premiere Pro as an Offline and Online Editors tool

February 24 - February 25

Free

Premiere Pro is becoming an increasingly accomplished and widely used tool in the TV and film industry, making it essential for both freelance and on-staff editors to understand its capabilities.

This course has been revamped to provide a more holistic overview of the end-to-end post-production process in a professional environment using Premiere Pro. It serves as a strong starting point for any editor looking to expand their editing toolkit.

This is a classroom based, Hands-on training course.

Classroom based
Date – Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th February 2025
Duration – 2 days
10am to 5pm
Includes Lunch

This is an end-to-end session for anyone who is currently working as an offline or online Editor in the TV & Film industry.

This is the professional Editor Up-skill/CPD step of the Stepping Stone training programme into the TV & Film industry.

Assumed Knowledge – A working knowledge of Offline and Online Editing Skills as well as 2 credits in an online role

In the training session we will be looking at the following:

  • An overview of the software itself including subscriptions and installing
  • An overview of the interface and the tools available to help you familiarise yourself with the software
  • An overview of workflows from ingest to delivery

Once familiar with the software we’ll then look at some of the tasks you could use it for:

  • Building the Edit
  • Mixed resolution formats
  • Multicam setup and usage
  • Working with sound
  • Visual Effects
  • “Finishing” including colour correction
  • Graphics
  • Bells and Whistles – additional tools to aid the edit
  • Ensuring legal sound and pictures
  • The Render Queue
  • AS11 delivery files

Once completed you will have a better idea of Premiere Pros offline/online tools and abilities as well as being able to export a finished AS11 for delivery.

As a delegate on the course you will also be notified of any networking events run by ourselves or partners as well as having access to our fortnightly drop in session at Gorilla Academy.

This project has received support from the Welsh Government via Creative Wales

It is part of a project called Stepping Stones being introduced by Gorilla Academy
The funding will support entry level and up-skilling training opportunities within post production in Wales with a percentage of the training being delivered through the medium of Welsh

NB Applicants need to either live or work in Wales currently
