Adobe Premiere Pro – Assisting, Editing and Collaborating

November 22 @ 10:00 am - November 23 @ 5:00 pm

Premiere Pro is becoming an increasingly more prevalent and a widely used tool in the TV and film industry as well as for those all important social deliveries, making it essential for both freelance and on-staff editors to understand its capabilities.

This course has been updated to provide a working knowledge of the software in a professional environment including an overview of its use for shared projects on network storage.

It serves as a strong starting point for any editor or assistant looking to expand their editing toolkit as well as a good conversion session for current editors looking to move applications.

Classroom based
Date – Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November 2025
Duration – 2 days
10am to 5pm
Includes Lunch

This is an end-to-end session for anyone who is currently working as an offline or online Editor or assistant in the TV & Film industry.

This is the professional Editor Up-skill/CPD step of the Stepping Stone training programme into the TV & Film industry.

Assumed Knowledge – A working knowledge of Offline and Online Editing Skills

You’ll cover the following:

  • An overview of the software itself including subscriptions and installing
  • A brief overview of the interface and the tools available to help you familiarise yourself with the software
  • A brief look at workflows from ingest to delivery

Once familiar with the software we’ll then look at some of the tasks you could use it for:

  • Building the edit
  • Mixed resolution formats
  • Multicam setup and edits
  • Working with sound
  • Visual Effects and Graphics
  • And overview of “Finishing” including colour correction
  • Sharing a project between multiple editors
  • The Render Queue

Once completed you will have a better idea of Premiere Pros offline/online tools and abilities as well as having a better idea of how to use it as a collaberative tool with other editors and assistants

As a delegate on the course you will also be notified of any networking events run by ourselves or partners as well as having access to our  drop in sessions at Gorilla Academy.

This project has received support from the Welsh Government via Creative Wales
