This 1-day course is designed to give you an introduction to data management within film and television, specifically in an unscripted production.
You will learn how to confidently handle a tapeless workflow on a shoot, from the data leaving the camera through to the arrival in the edit suite/post production facility. You will learn about the fundamentals of data management and how to keep everyone on the production informed and happy about the safety of the material shot!
This is a classroom based, Hands-on training course.

This is one of our entry level session on our Stepping Stone project. The Data Wrangler role can either be a specific role OR the skills learned can be used in many entry level positions including runner, researcher and camera assistant etc.
In the training session we will be looking at the following:
Once completed you will have a better idea of the role and responsibilities of the data wrangler and have a good idea of how the skills fit into an entry level role. You’ll have a good overview of industry tools to enable you to backup your material in a safe and industry recognised way and follow industry good practices.
As a delegate on the course you will also be notified of any networking events run by ourselves or partners as well as having access to our fortnightly drop in session at Gorilla Academy.
