After Effects can be a valuable asset during the offline edit by allowing editors to create temp graphics, mock up visual effects, and pre-visualise complex sequences like split screens or motion elements. It also improves workflow efficiency with reusable templates and stylised placeholders adding to the visual delivery and covering some of the graphic elements that aren’t streamlined in some of the editing packages.
In this course you’ll get to grips with the software and gain workflow knowledge to help you utilise it as a tool during the edit.

This course is pitched at offline editors or assistants who want to learn more about the software and how to utilise it efficiently in the edit process. Also for editors who work alone and on quick turnaround projects where the templates and efficiency of presets can aid in the edit.
Once completed you will have a better idea of what After Effects can and can’t do in the edit and to use what it can do to make your work more efficient and to a higher standard.
As a delegate on the course you will also be notified of any networking events run by ourselves or partners as well as having access to our fortnightly drop in session at Gorilla Academy.
